Ancient historical site and working vinyard steeped in history dating back to the Romans. The sire is close to the town of Shrewsbury.

Approximately 76 miles from Leicester.
Leave Leicester by M69
towards Hinckley and Coventry. Leave the M69 at junction 1 (second
Hinckley exit) to join the A5 heading West signed Nuneaton and
Tamworth. Continue along the A5 following the signs for Telford and
Shrewsbury. To speed up your journey you may wish to use the M54 at
Cannock as it re-joins the A5 at Telford. Carry along the A5 to
Shrewsbury and at the first roundabout turn left staying on the A5
around the Shrewsbury ring road. Go over the river and at the next
roundabout turn left onto the B4380 going past Salop Caravan Leisure
Centre and follow the signs for the Vineyard or Wroxeter Roman City. Go
over the river again at Atcham and in just over half a mile turn right
off the B4380 at the Roman City going through Wroxeter. Go past the
Hotel, Church and immediately after the houses turn left following the
signs into the Vineyard.Carry on for 3 miles to the village of Sutton
on the Hill and turn left signed Thurvaston and Longford onto Common
Piece Lane.
Carry on down the straight road for 2.5 miles into Longford and at the T junction in Longford turn right. The Ostrich in is 400yds along on the right.
