Preparation for the Sacrament of Reconciliation
Preparation for the Sacraments of Reconciliation and Holy Communion takes place at the same time.
The Sacramental Preparation is done in partnership with the school, Parish and parents and it usually begins in November so that the child may receive the Sacraments in June of the following year.
The Sacramental Preparation programme is for young people around the age of 8 in school year 3 and some of the sessions involve parents so that they too may gain a deeper understanding of these Sacraments and be more involved in helping their child.
If you would like your child to receive the Sacrament of
Reconciliation and Holy Communion for the first time at St
Mary’s or St John Bosco Church you will need to complete the
form
which you can download here or collect from the church porch.
